Jennifer Tilly's birth took place in Los Angeles, California on September 16th 1958. The circumstances were extremely miserable. Her mother was a teacher and failed actor, and her father was a salesman for cars. Jennifer is the youngest of the family of four frequently attended her mother's performance in the theater and extremely impressed. Jennifer's parents divorced at the age of five. Jennifer lived in British Columbia for most of her early years after her mother and the remaining four kids moved to the province. Jennifer did not have a good education, despite being an extremely artistic young person. Jennifer was often the victim of a bullying incident as a result of her experience in Canada's schools. As she entered high school, her enthusiasm for theater began to wane. To combat this, her mother helped her participate as an extra in several performances. Her mother inspired all of her children to acquire a passion for performing arts. Then she began to act.
